In addition to competing internationally for the United States in Grand Prix Dressage, Catherine Haddad is an active breeder of both Oldenburg and Hannoverian horses in Germany. In February of 2005 Haddad received the Silver Pin Award for breeding achievement from the Oldenburger Zuchtverband in Germany for her success with her foundation broodmare, Elfenschein (Figaro x Goldstern). Since 2000, this mare has produced two approved stallions, De Kuyper and Razzmatazz, and one premium mare, Elfentanz, for Oldenburg.

Elfentanz (De Niro x Figaro x Goldstern), a full sister to De Kuyper and now registered in the Hannoverian marebook, rivals her mother as a top broodmare. She produced the colt, Pentimento by Prince Thatch, who brought a remarkable hammer price of €25,000 at the Hannoverian foal auction in 2004.

Polarnacht (Prince Thatch x De Niro x Figaro) qualified for the German National Foal Championship on July 10 in Lastrup. Placing third against 100 participants, Polarnacht received the highest scores at the competition for movement! The Championship will be held August 6 and 7 in Lienen, Germany.
